Simple Rum Cake
Theres nothing like having Sunday dessert for you family, In fact it save money overall to bake a sweet treat on Sunday and your family can munch on it during the week. I made this quick and easy Rum Cake from the cake box. Yes I said CAKE BOX!! All you need is one box of Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix follow the recipe on the back then add a tablespoon or two maybe three of dark rum in the mix. I poured battered in my bundt cake pan then add brown sugar sprinkled on topped. (just doing whatever I please) Baked for 30 minutes in my Conventional Stove then Out it Comes! . I then prepared my icing (glaze) I put one cup of Confections Powder Sugar in a bowl along with 2tbl of melted butter, 1tbls of vanilla extract and of course! I added two maybe three tablespoons of dark rum.

It seems like yesterday
It seems like yesterday, May 30, 1986 when I walked across the stage to recieve my diploma from Paseo High School. I made this particular graduation cake for Kendyl, who graduated from Southwest Early College Campus in Kansas City Missouri. What so special about this cake is I known her mother Cheryl since 3rd grade and we graduated across the same stage in "86" together. I was so joyful just to do her daughter graduate cake just because It brought back memories of how her mother and I had a special bond when we pretended to be the Charlie Angels in grade school LOL.

The Tiffany Box.. This is the most elegant Bridal Cakes I enjoyed doing, I young and hip bridal party at the Westin Crown Center in Downtown Kansas City, this was just the right surprise for this lucky bride. I love the straight lines and glow of elegance, topped with a crisp sugar bow.
